I'm glad to hear many are leaving Facebook. My son and DIL were pushing and pushing me to join and get on, especially to see pictures of the grandkids. But, I resisted. And, I'm glad I did. I would be crazy by now, because I am so vocal on my position, and am not afraid to stand up for God and His teachings. I felt so horrible after the ruling, and physically sick, and totally void of reality. Just couldn't believe it.

Maybe if enough leave FB, it will be left to rot. Maybe that would be a good thing. Perhaps it is a place to evil to grow? Don't know. Just know I don't need to be a part of it.

I considered leaving facebook, but I just had a cousin post that she watched God's Not Dead with her boyfriend and it gave her lots to think about. I'm going to shine a light for her and hope that it helps.

Awesome! Keep up the good work. I actually went back in and filtered a lot, also am deleting a LOT! I am gonna give it just a short trial basis. My son is there and he is agnostic, been talking to him a lot more lately and trying to get him to see the error of his ways. I can't just abandon that. I just won't be on it like I used to be. Check in every once a while and just stay here, where I am SAFE!!!!

That' great. Then you have a good reason, if you can help and guide someone to Jesus. Just be careful....there are many ugly comments hurled toward Christians on there.

Really liked todays Answers in Genesis article about "taking back the rainbow", there's a short clip of a rainbow showing up over the construction site of the life-size ark that they're building.

And in the 60's the Christian's stood by and did nothing ... just like they've done today. Don't think for one minute that we as American Christian's won't be held accountable.

I guess I'm fortunate in that I have mostly my fellow church members and family on my Facebook. Very very few liberals. I'd be thinking of getting rid of it if I had to see lots of posts celebrating gay "marriage".
Today, our pastor's sermon was about staying focused on Christ, and being about His work till He comes. He was telling us we shouldn't let the uproar over this issue get our focus off serving Him.

"...but thou, O Lord, art a shield for me, my glory and the lifter of my head."

I was reading these verses today:

"For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due." (Romans 1:26-27, NKJV)

And I realized that a society turning towards homosexuality is indicative of a society already in the clutches of God's punishment, not one that is awaiting it.

I have a couple of things on my mind right now.

First: it was about 2000 years ago that Satan thought he had pulled off his greatest victory when Jesus was nailed to the cross. Turns out, this was an epic fail for him and it sealed his doom.

Second: I have a 23 year old niece and a granddaughter in her teens who support gay rights. My granddaughter was allowed today, by her mother, to go with her bisexual friend to the gay pride parade in Chicago. She's supposed to be a Christian, but she says she has a right to her own opinion and will do what she wants to do, no matter what anyone thinks. Her mother just wants to be her friend, so she lets her do whatever she wants. My niece posted on Facebook this morning that God doesn't judge so we shouldn't either. She says she doesn't care about the commandments, she only cares about God and He loves everyone. She also says that she's sure God understands when people follow in love with members of the same sex. He loves them and understands how they feel so there's nothing wrong with them having a sexual relationship and it doesn't affect anyone else so we should mind our own business. I have to try sharing the Truth with her and am getting prayed up in advance. I want to avoid being emotional about it and share the truth in love.

I have a friend whose niece is a lesbian and attends gay pride parades with her mother. The mother was brought up in a Christian home, yet sees nothing wrong with being part of the LGBT community. Being LGBT is the cool thing right now apparently. If you don't agree with the lifestyle you are "judging". I believe this is the tip of the iceberg of how bad things will get.

Facebook since this ruling is a perfect example of the conflict it is causing in this country. It is sad how many liberals who are celebrating this decision are also so angrily mocking and criticizing Christian conservatives. I thought this is what they wanted, so why are they still so filled with hatred? People are unfriending and blocking each other. It is a very hostile place right now, and just a microcosm of how this decision has divided our country. I just have to, as our pastor said this morning, stay positive, because God is in control.

Amen! No matter how bleak it may look, God is still in control

Our Pastor had a whole other sermon prepared for today when the Lord convicted him that he must preach on this topic. Apparently, there are some in our congregation who came out in support of this ruling. Our Pastor very lovingly shared the truth, making it clear to all of us that our fight is not against flesh and blood. He doesn't want us to be angry or to see other people, especially our brothers and sisters in Christ as the enemy. We need to fight this battle on our knees and we must boldly and courageously share the truth in love. The one good thing I see in all this is that there is now a clear line that has been drawn. As believers, we must join one another on the side of the lie where the Lord stands, come what may. The Pastor set an excellent example this morning, standing with the Lord, armed with the Sword of Truth. Now, we, the congregation, need to follow his courageous example.

In facebook just a few hours ago I made a comment in a Todd Starnes report about the fact an episcopal church had a float in the gay parade with a man in a thong on top of it. He also said that a priest who was standing along the parade route was spit on. I simply said I was appalled that a so called Christian church would have a float in this parade. That Christians had a handbook to go by and that was the bible and we had to live by that or not be called Christian and obviously this was one of the churches Jesus spoke of leading us astray in the future. I got over 400 likes in less than an hour I just looked and I now have close to 600 and it is 3:00am in the morning. I also got 25 reply's that also said I was so right. There are Christians out there but I think many are afraid to speak up for fear of being harassed. I have decided it is time for us to do more than just pray we need to be very vocal to our churches and make sure they don't give in and actually marry homosexuals. I won't call them gay because that is not what they are they have stolen that word and our beautiful rainbow and we need to get these back and not allow them to make something good out of sin if they want to marry go do it in a civil ceremony not try to make our real Christian churches do something that will put them against God or make them hide their churches. Praying is of course needed but I fear Christians have sat back and allowed the left to take over and keep us quiet who cares what they call us we need to be strong and stand up for our churches or we will be meeting in secret soon. I will put more Christian posts on my timeline than I have before and let it be known just who I am and what I believe I did in the past but not enough and if people want to unfriend me that is fine although so far none have and I have been putting it out there since I heard the unconstitutional decision by the supreme court. I love what the Texas attorney general said about refusing to marry them that there were lawyers who would help them for a minimal or no fee. I wish all states would do this.

I have been so confused and saddened this weekend, confused over the many people who say they are Christians agreeing with this decision, coloring their facebook pages with rainbows, etc. And saddened because of the state of this world. It is SO wonderful and reassuring to be here with you all.
While I do agree that we should respond in love, I also feel we should 100% be vocal on this issue. We are all sinners, yes, and we all fall short of God's glory. And we all need to accept Jesus as our Savior in order to enter Heaven one day. But the thing about the homosexual lifestyle that just really gets to me is that they do not want to admit that it's a sin. They totally disregard what the Bible says, and instead want the rest of us to accept their lifestyle. They say "they were born this way."
Today my son was telling me about a friend of his who posted on facebook that "the gay people should be allowed to have the same benefits as married folks. If not, then take away the benefits from the married folks so we can all be equal." This person, I believe, says he is a Christian.
If God designated marriage between one man and one woman, and you go outside of that norm, then why should you have the same benefits as those who are in the Biblical definition of marriage? And then when I saw the White House was lit up with rainbow colors, that just was the last straw. Can you imagine Ronald Reagan ever doing anything like that?

The shame of it all is the obvious political division.

This is not a ruling of justice, bit a ruling of politics.

Justice and truth should overwhelm the SCOTUS. 1 or 2 dissenters OK, we are but men (and women),

But time after time, laws, rulings, policies..... such division indicates an explosion about to happen.

But then how can we steer any course when the moral compass is broken ( or better said : discarded). We are lost in the sea of relativity.

Yes, there is the need for compassion. Prejudice leading to cruelty is wrong no matter what sins one is trapped in.
But using Truth through wisdom to warn the lost and suffering is Love not bigotry.

So a new day arrives where we see all the clearer how this world hates God and His Christ.

Perhaps this new trial will help many sleeping Christians wake.
Perhaps slothful Christians will get moving
Struggling and weak Christians may again feed on the food that truly nourishes.

We may see revival, but this time it may be restricted to those already in the faith,

Like the steward about to lose his job, its time to get our houses in order.
To quit goofing off and get back to work.

To worship in Spirit and in Truth.
It's ALL about Jesus. The Son of God - Emanuel - The Mighty God - Our Salvation.

    John 1:1-3 NKJV --- Luke 22:42 NKJV --Romans 3:23 NKJV, Rom 5:8 NKJV, Rom 8:28 NKJV, Rom 8:31 NKJV, Rom8:38-39 NKJV, ---Titus 1:2 NKJV - Heb 6:18 NKJV --- John 14:6 NKJV --- 1 John 5:13 NKJV --- Acts 16:29-31 NKJV ... John 6:28-29 NKJV... 1John 2:22 NKJV... Heb 10:11-13 NKJV

The SCOTUS ruling is sad, troubling, evil inspired, but NOT the end of the world. Not yet! The fall of man started with that fateful bite of the forbidden fruit, and it's been downhill since. It is beyond belief to think how far we have fallen since the death of our Savior. Even in my lifetime (58 years old), the acceptance of sin is truly sad. When I was a kid, porn was almost unheard of. No internet to look at whatever you wanted to, no adult movies at theaters, or on DVDs. Pregnancy outside of marriage was considered embarrassing or even shameful. Now it's considered normal. Abortion was a rarity. Now it's the preferred method of birth control by many. TV was Ozzie and Harriet, Leave it to Beaver, and the Brady Bunch. Now, Modern family, Naked and Afraid, and other shows that air that would not even been allowed in theaters when I was a kid. Homosexuality was never talked about, completely out of sight. Now, it's normal.

The Apostle Paul wrote about homosexuality in the first chapter of Romans, almost 2000 years ago. This is not a new problem, only one that is now in your face on a daily basis. But, I'm not going to lose sleep over this shameful ruling which goes against how our Creator designed marriage. Why? The Bible warns us that the fall of man, and the emergence of more and more sin where good will become evil, and evil will become good. This will be a sign of the end of times, which means we are closer to Him calling us home.

Should I be afraid that my attitude, or thoughts on gay marriage could someday cause me some type of persecution? Never. The Holy Spirit lives in me, and He will guide me in times of troubles. All those non believers who disagree with me, big deal, those folks most likely never were going to become Christians. However, when I do have a chance to talk to them lovingly about the Good News I will certainly do so. Because I do not approve of their lifestyle, does this mean I hate them? Never. I love everyone, and pray for those who are struggling, and that they repent, and turns towards our Light.

What about Christians who are in support of this ruling? One word, CHINO. How could a Spirit filled Christian really think it's ok? Many so called Chrisitans will find themselves alone, and thinking about why they were left behind. They never once committed their life to Christ or had faith that He is the Savior. These are the ones who never read their Bible (if they even own one), but know all the buzz words to use to impress at church. And no, I'm not saying one who struggles to read the Word on a daily basis is not a true Christian. We all start on a milk diet, and in the timing of the Holy Spirit, we will move on to a meat filled diet!

Times could indeed be tough in the days to come. Eternity, is forever, and then some. We win, Jesus will lead us to an eternity of our joyfully celebrating His glorious victory over sin, and all our tears will be wiped away. But for now, the best defense against those who wish to oppress us is a strong offense, and that is enage in strong prayer, pray for all! Lift each brother and sister in Christ up. IMO, it's wasting what precious little time we have left, tearing others down. God will sort out this whole mess
Galatians 2: 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

Well in these times the separating of the Sheep (Godly churches) and the Goats (Worldly churches) has begun. The Sheep will be harassed and persecuted into hiding and the Goats will be upheld as tolerant and full of godly love (love of Satan not God's love).
