    Default Relational Churches

Hi, has anyone read any of Wayne Jacobsen's writings at http://www.lifestream.org/? He has wirtten a series of articles call Relational Church that I find very exciting. They can be found here about 2/3 down the page. I have been reading these articles for the past couple of days and have not found any thing unscriptual rather more scriptual than most. Aside from the fact he quotes the message twice I find no fault with his reasoning about the church as it is today. If any one has a difference of opioning let me know. I have not read any of his other stuff.

I checked out this site. The first thing I noticed is that the Bible or any passages were obviously missing. Then I looked further and found that Wayne Jacobsen has published The Shack. This is a completely apostate site with false teachings. I would stay far away. There is a thread here about The Shack which is very informative. It is under the Apostasy section.

I didn't read the whole article, but "Relational" is a red flag for sure. I went to his recommended books section, and it reads like a who's who of the the emergent apostate movement.

Danger, danger. Could not recommend this guy at all. The "relational" sounds great, but the heaviest advocates do the "relational" at the expense of the Gospel. No real apologetic for saving faith.

The way I see it on the "end results" level, relational churches instantly fail when they try to outreach happy, feel-good, and content atheists or pagans. The relational church teachers' response is to give the Joel Osteen style of gospel presentation to these unbelievers when the relational techniques don't work. It smacks of the same vein of "feel good" approach to the gospel and will just backfire as much.
