Real-time global disaster alert map

I discovered this on another prophecy website. It is a global disaster alert map, based out of Budapest, Hungary.
It is a global map, with symbols representing the type of disasters that are going on, or have recently occured...Volcanoes, earthquakes, weather, biological & Chemical hazards, complex disasters, all kinds!
Really gives a great picture of exactly whats happening all over the globe at one time.

Just mouse over the symbols, and it gives the time, date, and type of disaster. Click on the symbol, and it routes to a page giving some information about the current disaster.

I'm gonna bookmark this baby, I imagine it's gonna be blowing up with activity in the soon coming days/weeks/months!

Yeah!! I've been messing around with it, and it lists over 35 active volcanoes worldwide currently. I'm sure some of them are very small or slow eruptions, but it lists them as erupting none the less, what a trip!

If you click on "Icon Description", just below the map, it is the key to all of the Icons employed on the map.
Scroll down on the page, and it has listed all the current disasters in text format.

It is a great map and surfaces everytime a good crisis exist. The interesting thing, that is about as quiet as I've seen it in over a year.

Course, as we know, that can change in the course of an hour or so these days.

there was one i used to have bookmarked that was almost identical, but it became a pay site so i got rid of it.
hope this one stays free.

Cool map! I noticed that there was a car accident displayed in Southern U.S. Obviously not every car accident will be displayed so I wonder where it gets its information.

I think its from HAM radio operators around the world. Makes for fast, accurate and unbiased reports.....in addition to exaggerations and mistakes.

Yes, this is a very cool map. But, I must implore you not to sign up for the e-mail alerts! Some time ago, I eagerly signed up for the event alerts and literally received 50 of them a day!!! Every time there was a car accident in Podunk I received an e-mail alert. Every time there was a fire in North Southestan I received an e-mail alert. The locations are I use here are not real, but you get my point. If you sign-up, be prepared to get deluged with e-mail pertaining to events that may not even rate reporting on your local 6:00 p.m. news. And, getting removed from the e-mail list is tantamount to pulling teeth.

I imagine this is an example of a small portion of what God is in the midst of every minute. Too much for our little brains, but not too much for all-knowing God!
