    Question Ezekiel Bread and Fasting

Anyone here tried Ezekiel bread yet?

Ezekiel 4:9: "Take also unto thee Wheat, and Barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and Spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make bread of it..."

I've been considering doing a fast. Not so much (well, maybe just a little) for the spiritual aspects, but rather to kick start a new regimen of of a more nutritious eating lifestyle.

Any ideas or recommendations? Will this bread help, or hurt, my goal?

Hi Bobg, I did for a while, it is very good for you, you can buy it in some of the larger grocery stores in their freezer area, being it's got sprouts and such in it, needs to be preserved in air tight and cool, keep it in the fridge when using. I don't think one can go wrong with it, Ezekiel, well if it was good enough for him, why not us.
Another note, from the farmer in me, Spelts is a very good feed for animals, it's much like a cross between oats and wheat, very good for animals and very good for us, I use spelt flour often in stuff I'm making. And Beans, was always thought of as the 'poor man's food,' and here it's very good again for us and cheap. My mother was in weight watchers and says that beans are one of the better diet foods they used, very good.
I started eating better too, using the Bible as a guide in alot of what I eat, Olive oil, so very good for you, water, don't forget good clean water, try filtering it or leaving water set out for about 3 day, it gets rid of a lot of the chlorine, which is so hard on our systems, animals too, just a note, don't give chlorinated water to animals, not good. Anyways, some thoughts for you, I wish you well...

Shame on the persons who posted about Ezekiel Bread in one of the forums, I can't find which one now...but I am SO addicted to this stuff. Bread and Ice-Cream are my major downfalls, and the Ezekiel bread is sold at the grocery store I shop at. My boys don't like it, so I have to eat all by myself.

I buy it at the local Trader Joe's. I think it's pretty tasty.
Romans 8:31 "31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? "

Romans 8:38-39 "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Leave it to God to come up with multigrain bread!
