Once upon a time when I was an unbeliever, I staunchly supported abortion rights b/c I felt women had a right to choose, a right to dictate their own bodies, etc, etc. Heck-I also supported gay rights b/c I felt homosexuals deserved to be treated equally like under civil rights.

Since then, thank the Lord for opening up my eyes to the truth! Thank the Lord for helping me to realize that abortion = MURDER.

The very best part of my volunteer job in a pregnancy center is to do pregnancy tests. If the test is positive, I bring in--along with other info--a box of little babies. Usually the woman is in the first 10 weeks, and the box has realistic models of babies, from 7 -10 weeks...

I bring the one most closely approximating her own baby, and have her hold the little model in her hand. It's so tiny (although it is amazing how much a little one grows in those 4 weeks!), but so perfectly-formed! Even the 7 week-old is almost totally formed (just the toes need to separate) It almost always amazes the mother, and makes her pregnancy REAL to her.....

The first video I show--if she comes back for our "Earn While You Learn" lessons (lessons in parenting, with "Mommy Money" and "Daddy Dollars" earned, to spend in our Baby Boutique upstairs)--is the one on Ultrasound: Window to the Womb
Sometimes women change their minds and abort, after telling us they plan to carry the baby, so this first video---with scenes of a 10-week-old baby exercising in the womb--can have a big impact!

Abortionists know this, of course....most will do an ultrasound, but they purposely turn it away from the client, knowing that--if she saw her baby moving on that screen--she would be likely to get right back off of that table!

May I share something I almost always read to the woman, before she leaves? Sometimes we give her an NIV Bible (if she doesn't have a newer translation already), and I turn to the "Pro-lifer's psalm", Ps 139. It's so beautiful, and says it all!

This is just a portion of Ps 139:

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

Thank You, Lord! Pray for all of the young women (often only 15 or 16 ) who have such a decision to make ---pray with us that they will choose LIFE for their little ones!
