for it is the life of all flesh. Its blood sustains its life. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, ‘You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.

but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood.
God was very clear in His Command both to Noah, Israel and the Church.
Then Jesus makes this offensive statement:
John 6:53
Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.
How could He say such a thing?
Simply put, He was speaking of spiritual matters. It is obvious He could not have ment His own physical flesh, that would be an abomination. Something so obvious to people led by the Holy Spirit, was a stumbling block to those who should have perceived it right away. We are to feed on His WORD. Take it in and make it part of us.
John 6:63
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Now for self eximanation. How many horror flicks have we seen? Some many, some, one was too many.....
How many found some pleasure in the process? How many found that wicked seed of sin that resides in all of us? How many wanted to puke to think we could have enjoyed even a moment of terror?
And now movies and books encourage empathy for vampires?
We sink quickly when we condone evil. We suffer greatly when we seek out and find any pleasure in death. How many times have we lingered and entertained thoughts only to come circumspect and see our own dispicable person.
That then begs the question: How could a Holy God send His Son to die for me, a wretched sinner?
No, I do not condem those who creat such muck, nor those who go to see it,
But Truth must be made evident. This conduct is sick, we need to leave it, we need to abandond it and seek Holy things. Even in imiginations where good vanquishes evil with sword or bayonet, we can fall to the pleasure of killing, not ridding the world of evil.
Even the Bible describes vile things, conduct that is not to be thought of, but it truthfully illustrates mans great need for a savior. Even the best of mankind is filthy.
When we find ourselves or friends in this stuff, dont be afraid, speak God's truth, shed light on the subject. Then speak of God's patience and mercy, and His holiness and judgement.
And when we find ourselves in the muck, may we cringe and fall at the feet of Christ -
Psalm 51:7
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Revelation 1:5
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
One day, our vessel of dust shall be gone. And we who trust Him, who believe in Him, will understand. He loves Us.
