That about sums up my feelings on the subject. Not for myself, but compelled to for others... family, neighbors, fellow believers, strangers in need...

I for one don't feel like being at the mercy of a tyrannical government system who would kill you just as look you up in a federal database...
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn... Isaiah 54.17

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
    Psalm 91:7-8

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
    Romans 8:31

And as to his being saved? Would most of those threatened by him and his comrades be saved either? Give up your rights and you effectively surrender your neighbors, and abandon your entire society. You may have the right to chose not to defend yourself, but you do not have the right to surrender your neighbors rights.
Excellent point and points. I suspect that if clearly illegal orders were given and it was obvious we were being subverted a huge number of police and military would go underground and fight to get the country back. Just a suspicion on my part, and may be way too optimistic for this day in prophetic history. It wouldn't take but a few
convoy ambushes to make people a little less eager to get off the protected and safe bases. Just saying.

I believe its the Marines whose oath is a touch different than the others. The order of loyalty is first to God, then country. That is the country governed by our constitution, but God comes first.

Now think for a second. If....huge IF....the military is willing to fight and die overseas in a strange land to protect our freedom....do you think a few might be willing to do the same thing here to protect the freedom of the same country?

What about Luke 22 verse 36 when Jesus said "But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one". I think Jesus would want us to defend ourselves and family if needed. Hopefully we won't need to but there is plenty of references IMO that are in the bible. If our founding fathers could fight a revolution to make our country free then why couldn't we fight to keep it so?

Well, I didnt expect this. Do you guys REALLY think it would be worth fighting for if they did away with the constitution? I mean, what are you hoping to accomplish? To revive the old US?

Times are changing, and fast. I know a lot of you may not like it, neither do I, but its not worth taking anothers life, especially if they're not out for christians before rapture. You'll stirr up stuff that doesn't need to be, and will be stopped.

The world is going into a new order. And as the Lord said

    Matthew 24:6
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

Honestly, will I be condemned or will it be a blemish on my robe if I do not pick up a gun and kill because I honestly dont see a single chance of USA being revived? Especially if they're going after christians, I will run, or suffer persecution, and im suprised my brothers do not support this but almost expect me to be firing off rounds.

Thou shall not kill (and I know without reason) but whats my reason? To protect a loved one who I know isnt saved? Thats the only thing I would resist for. But not kill.

EDIT* Look, believe me, I used to be trigger happy. I was lookin to buy guns, almost had a 12 gauge short barrel mossburg, and was lookin to get an MP5 with a silencer lol, but honestly one day I just stopped and thought, what am I going to need this for? And please, tell me, who would I need to fire it at?

Oh, and american military troops may be traind to disobey illegal orders, but with how much construsive crap they're doing to the foundation of our government, I'd be dang suprised if it wasn't "legal" for them to take out "enemies of the state". Or, if it were illegal, they could have UN troops quicker then anything in here. You guys dont realize how ugly a rebellion would be, your going to be stopped in your tracks.

This is exactly the way it is. These people would rather kill you as to look at you. IF you come to take or mess with what is theirs. These people work VERY hard and live a VERY hard life to have and keep what they've got. And as for taking their guns...they'll get them...but not the way they think.

Me and some friends actually a while ago, were setting up an organization, called O.N.R (Organization of National Reform) and we were basically going to rebell when the time came, take over stores such as walmart so we'd have limited supplies for the time, and offer protection and food to anyone that wanted to join. Our vision was for a reformation of the current government, basically going back to basics with the constitution and having small government, like it was after the revolution.

It may sound crazy but I still have friends plotting this, while im out of it now. We were going to buy stockpiles of guns and ammunition, we were all ready to do it. But I dropped out and haven't heard much of it but from what I understand its still in the works :\

Should I really go back to supporting O.N.R? I mean, is it a better choice to rebell rather then possibly suffer persecution?

Well, I'm not going to be a doormat.
We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

^ I assure you, come that they're after christians, suffering in His name is not being a doormat. And if they're not after us before rapture, it would be much safer for you and your family to go along with things. You may not agree with it and wish so much that the old US was back, but fighting for something that doesn't appear in the bible (a revived US, or US at all) or possibly a state that WILL fall in line with the beast, is insane if you ask me. That and your putting you and your loved ones at risk of un needed danger.

Thank you, and im sorry if I caused any offence

I know the Lord is preparing me for what's to come. Until then, I can only hope and pray that those I know without Him, come to know Him.

Taking possession of the property of others... The whole scenario above sounds like anarchists who've decided to create their own governing authority... or anti-anarchist anarchists.

I wouldn't want to be a part of what you describe, it doesn't seem to me to be something Jesus would ever call me to do, and it is during difficult times that I and we will need to stay close to Jesus.

Haha, it basically was. I can assure you though, im done with that. Ashamed to even be a part of it at one time. But I have to ask, what is rebellion for? If not to bring about a newer, better, order per se, then what for?

Thats why I stand where I do. All I see is futility in fighting. Our Lord has given us victory over death and the world. I dont believe he'll give us victory in fighting earlier stages of this coming, global order.

Is there anarchist history in your past? From the post I responded to I would suggest that there is still some of that in you. I don't believe I'll find a reading in the new testament that condones ceasing what belongs to others.

I do believe that those Germans who actually supported Hitler found justification in that very thought. They thought they were going to create a new, better order. When we depart from the narrow path of righteousness, however, better just isn't going to happen.

Me and my friends were grave dispiseres of *unjust* authority, so your right. But im not the same, Lord's changed me, thank God. Thats why I couldn't be part of it. Although I still dont believe in unjust authority, we are to submit ourselfs to the powers put over us, until it conflicts with righteousness, Gods word. Then we continue our lives, ignoring truly unjust rules until we are captured and persecuted, or killed. Like whats going on in India and many other parts of the world, against christians right now. But, if were going to go back and look at revolutions, did the americans respect the property of the British and leave it be, but were alright with killing them? Its quite a different game in such events, especially if you have such a big vision. Not saying the Lord approves of this, but for those thinking this is actually time for another, sucessful revolution, which is the aim of rebellion. This is why I will have no part of it.

Very true, and I ask, if you pick up a gun and fight, what are you fighting for?

I couldn't answer that until after I've picked up the gun to fight. It might be my neighbors, my family, it might be for people I don't personally know. It would not be for just me.

In the many threads here are RR that I've participated in that bring up the possibility of some future need to fight... I've consistently said I'd have to wait until that time came to make my personal decision. I'll not be swayed by others waving any apparently righteous message before my nose and applying pressure to me. I'll make the decision myself, and then I'll pay for the consequences, and I won't be able to blame anyone else for my actions.

I pray now and daily that the Lord would help me keep to His narrow path. I desire nothing else than to stay with Him and in Him. My life in this world at this time is only as valuable as I am faithful to Him. God has complete control over yesterday, today and tomorrow... He doesn't need me, though He may use me, and should He call me, Lord may I be ready!

I think whatever descision you'll make will be the right one Whatever that be.

But He has shown you what we all need to do, and that is abide in Him and grow in faith. I guess im quite contrary to the people here worried about stocking up food and possibly weapons, I see no need to. What we need is faith.

(obviously one thing I need to do is study the word so I know where certain scripture is, please forgive me but i've forgotten )
But somewhere it mentions the foolish man who stores up his food so he didnt have to work for some time. God feeds the birds in the sky, do you not think He would feed one of His children? Have faith, and that I can see you have Don't worry, all things will work out to His glory!

Tall Timbers you sound like a psychiatrist

Gomenasai You sound like a nice godly young man with a good head on your shoulders now, nice to call you my brother. Your responses to others show maturity. Merry Christmas!
