A strange story at Forbes magazine sheds light on some uncomfortable correlations between ancient Islamic end-times prophecy and our current President-elect. It is well known that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and other Shiites are awaiting the appearance of the twelfth Imam (the Mahdi) who will arrive at the end of the world amid catastrophic war. Apparently a 17th century Shiite Hadith proclaims the following:

According to the tradition, Imam Ali Ibn Abi-Talib (the prophet’s cousin and son-in-law) prophesied that at the End of Times and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate Saviour, a “tall black man will assume the reins of government in the West.” Commanding “the strongest army on earth,” the new ruler in the West will carry “a clear sign” from the third imam, whose name was Hussein Ibn Ali. The tradition concludes: “Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us.”

That is disturbing enough, but what follows, is uncanny and unsettling:

In a curious coincidence Obama’s first and second names–Barack Hussein–mean “the blessing of Hussein” in Arabic and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means “he is with us,” the magic formula in Majlisi’s tradition.

The Iranian regime is delighted to see an Obama administration, and the world should be ready for anything to happen between now and 2012.

All I can say is to just sit tight this year(and maybe even next). Keep in mind too, new incoming Presidents generally face crisis in their first years. Just saying...

What is it about Obama that, when he speaks of his true nature and intent, people refuse to believe the words coming out of his mouth.

And when the Islamic nations and terrorists rejoice at his winning the Presidency, people dismiss it as though it is insignificant?

He professes to be a Christian but he denies Jesus Christ and funds the slaughter of the innocents who are unborn in the womb so why do they still believe he is a Christian?

What is this effect that he seems to have on the world?

Strong delusion? Mesmerization? Sorcery?

What is it?

I beleive that Obama is preparing the way for the anti-christ, but I could be wrong...but with everything going on in the last 4 days...it does make me wonder

I remember a while back on this board someone mentioned how they thought Obama was using hypnosis in his speech & provided a link of a study conducted over that very notion. I'm gonna look through my favorites & see if I can find the link b/c I think I saved it.

Maybe Obama and matrieya are the same guy! They sure do look alike

matrieya appeared in KENYA in 1988....Obama, IMO was born in Kenya

....just speculating....a lot of weird parallels

The first thing that came to mind was how this was all so serpent like.

) but just reading the first few pgs. sent chills up my spine. This is ..... if it's true ..... of demonic origin.

The Iranian leader's entourage also point out that Obama copied his campaign slogan "Yes, We Can" from Ahmadinejad's "We Can," used four years ago.

Ahmadinejad has described the U.S. as a "sunset" (ofuli) power as opposed to Islam, which he says is a "sunrise" (toluee) power. Last summer, he inaugurated an international conference called World Without America--attended by anti-Americans from all over the world, including the U.S.

Well not trying to start a conspiracy here but stating the facts.I am from Illinois as well as Obama. The day after he was elected on Nov 5,2008 in the Illinois Lottery the pick 3 came up with the number 6-6-6. Coincidence ???????? Perhaps but creepy to see that happen here especially from his state. I think he is a pre-cursor to the AC but he is not the AC. This was mentioned in a thread here before, but since we are talking about Obama fulfills ancient islamic prophecy

Good point, comparing things to scripture to determine the truth and validity. But, scripture doesn't address every detail, so the issue transforms to a less definitive one, Does Obama contradict anything in scripture?

I don't see any contradiction at first glance but we have far more knowledgeable people than I here on this board.

It bothers me more than a touch to think the dark side of the equation had the ability to establish prophecy. If, indeed, it's right then I'm more inclined to think its something made known by God to the ancients that did not make it into scripture because it wasn't important enough as the message we needed to be given.

Interesting enough to follow, for sure. The biggest thing, for me little mind, is that many Christians feel the Holy Spirit apparently exercising the hair on the back of their neck. Watch out!
