Default O.K. Is it only me? A lot of things are making me cry!

I don't know what it is, but for the last month or so I seem to cry pretty easily. Twisty posted a very beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace. When it got the the part "When we've been there ten thousand years..." there I go.
There have been numerous times this has happened reading or listening to things posted here. I've never done this before.
Are we just yearning to go home so strongly that this is how it affects us? Or, is it just me needing to get a grip?

It sounds to me like you already have a good grip. Better than most.

Question: Are we just yearning to go home so strongly that this is how it affects us?

    Answer: Yes!

I say just keep praising the Lord and let the tears flow as they will!

Ditto. One day soon you won't ever cry again (except for maybe tears of joy).

Come soon Lord Jesus - Take us Safely Home

Yeah I didn't think of that. Good point. So enjoy it and cry while you can!

Yes! What bride would not cry and be teary-eyed while waiting for her groom to come for her day and night? It's amazing to me while the hearts of men wax cold and harden to the point of stone, those of us who love and await our Lord and Savior, hearts only grow more tender...

I'm becoming a major cry-baby, but maybe for different reasons. Before I truly came to the Lord, my heart was so hard and cold, especially to the things of God. As He has been changing me and replacing my heart of stone to a heart of flesh for Him, things just touch me so deeply.

When I hear of people or animals suffering, when I learn a new truth about God, when I read something beautiful and true, beautiful music - the tears come. It's not even really crying, the tears just start rolling.

Yesterday I read John 17, where Jesus was praying for His people before He was crucified. I always get just overwhelmed with the intimacy and passion of love within the Godhead revealed there, and also the intimacy and passion of God's love for us/me when I read that and my heart just bursts with love for Him, it never fails.

I praise God for the *gift of tears*. I think I'll be this way in the next life with Him too as we are lavished even more with His love. You guys will recognize me on sight, I'll be the one crying.

Hubby and I both bawl all day long!!!

Hubby says that while he is working (he owns his own paint contracting company), and starts to think about Jesus and His return and the tears start to flow. Or while He is saying the Lord's Prayer, he breaks out in tears. He says he sobs when thinking about Jesus' return and seeing Him face to face. He says also when he remembers certain passages, like John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

I too have been breaking down in tears and literally sobbing. My heart is overwhelmed and it is overflowing with the love that Jesus has for me. I can barely listen to a song that praises Jesus without bawling. Reading the Bible yesterday had me in tears. Reading some of the threads on this board make me break down.

But I think it is because the Holy Spirit is quickening our hearts. He is talking to us, now - more than ever and is calling us home. He is warning us and preparing us. Jesus IS coming. I think the entire Bride has heard His voice. He is giving us the urgency of the imminent return of Jesus for His Bride, and how important it is that we witness to as many as we can.

These tears are tears of joy IMHO. We long to be with our Father, and our Father has given us this yearning. I can only imagine that God is looking around the place that Jesus is/has prepared for us and is making sure everything is perfect. God is ready to tell His Son to, "Go get your Bride"!!!!

It won't be long now. Shout it from the rooftops!! Jesus is coming soon. He is Lord and Master and is getting ready to show Himself like never before!!!

    Come Lord Jesus!!!

Yes cocopea....you are so right!! The anticipation of seeing our Lord is building day after day and won't it be thrilling!! I just hope I don't act like a blubbering idiot when I finally see His face. He'll probably laugh and then hold me and hug me tightly!!! I can't wait to see His face. And to never ever not be with Him again!!!

    More tears!!!

That passage and the words from Jesus also move me to tears. I especially love verses 23 and 24. He is so passionate and is really pouring His heart and soul out to us. Verse 24 really has shown me how badly Jesus wants to be with us.

Exactly! My prayers are being answered, and by that I mean I have been praying to know God in a way that He wants me to know him. And as I've started praying more, in a more meaningful way, I get teared up and I've never considered myself an emotional type person (not that it's bad to be, I just never was). And now I cry just thanking the Lord for His goodness, grace and mercy upon me. And I cry thinking about seeing Him face to face in heaven. And now I am more emotional, but mostly at things that involve my faith.
So you are not the only one experiencing more emotions lately, especially in regards to seeing our Lord and Savior soon.
Semper Fi! Always faithful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I want to see that in real life, in real time! Beautiful picture Steve! When we see Jesus we are all going to be bawling our eyes out Chicken, you won't be alone! I'm just going to take mine out of their sockets, give them to Jesus and ask him to wipe them dry, then pop then back in so I can see.

Between my allergies and always being teary-eyed at thoughts of Jesus, my nose is always running and I always look like I have been crying.

I haven't been able to wear eye makeup to church since I was saved in 2001!

    In His love,

    Yay!

You guys are so funny, i am cracking up. I really needed that, thank you.

Wow, there are no words to describe how I am feeling when He finally comes to get us. It'll be the most amazing thing that can ever happen to anyone, and God chose me as part of the plan to reveal it too. I am so humbled and so thankful. The day I see His beautiful face, will the be the happiest day of my life, and to think it is only getting to get better from then on. The other day I was making a list of all the things I will get to do in heaven and it just struck me that there are probably a gazillion other things we don't even know yet, that we will see, and experience. So keep up the good fight guys, the reward we will get will be unlike ANYTHING we will ever have known, i just know it, I feel it, , and besides he is still worthy of everything we have to give and so much more, even if He just never does another thing for us, He is still worthy, because of WHO He is.

I am not going to let this world take away, the only thing that means the world to me: Jesus
    John 16:33

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world!

Yes!! Those verses and...the whole thing!! I wish I could just have a right now and be with Him and you and all of us...soon, very soon...

Abba, how You love Your Son Jesus! We are witnesses - He is altogether lovely. And how He has perfectly glorified You in this world. And You have chosen us to share in Your love and with one another forever and ever!!! Why me? I'm know I am sooo unworthy, but the Blood of Jesus makes us all worthy! Amazing grace!! Thank You for Your "so great salvation" and we will worship You throughout all eternities!! We cannot wait to be with You and with all those who love You!!...
