Question Why do people join this Board just to complain?

    Hi RR,

You know, I cannot figure out for the life of my why people join RR, say they have lurked around for a long time (meaning they should be familiar with the Board), then as soon as they join, they want to rag on and berate members for what we post and share here?

There are people on this board that are excited about the Rapture. Very excited. There are people whom express their joy, hope and anticipation of Jesus return. There are those whom are hurting and want to go home. I don't know, maybe I am making it too simple, but time and time again, we have to explain that yes, we do pray for unsaved souls, yes we do witness to loved ones and strangers. Yes we know God is in control and will come at the time he has set. Yes, we know the Lord tarries as he does not want any one to perish. Yes, we know about the "Great Commission". Yes, yes, yes. We agree with you. We understand and know these things. Yet, that does not have to diminish our excitement and have us on our knee's saying, Lord please don't come yet.

I don't know how anyone can come to the full knowledge of Christ understanding that we are not of this world --and not be excited to soon leave it. So, maybe it is just me....

Why do people join RR and come here to tell us things they think we don't know?

We are Rapture Ready Excited and Waiting.....nothing will change that.

    Thanks All and God Bless!

I have noticed a lot of Christians are caught up in the affairs of this world and believe to be thinking already of going to our eternal home is depressing. They are enjoying themselves here too much. They may see things differently when they are themselves going through hard times, not that I wish that for them. I think many have not fully considered how much better it will really be in eternity. We who do have that realization are blessed in that way.

Some people have a 'martyr complex'. They seem to desire suffering, I dunno.

    Personally, I'm home sick...

    In His love,

I've thought that so many times, Cocopea. When they detect a thread where we all are looking forward to our Bridegroom coming for us, they wanna rush in and try to steal our joy. Looking forward to being with our Lord and abiding and doing His will and spreading the Gospel are not mutually exclusive. You can do all of that and I'm sure that most of us are already doing that. To be mutually exclusive, two events cannot occur at the same time (i.e. they have no outcomes in common). We can do ALL of this at the same time (witnessing, praying for others and looking forward to our Bridegroom.) I'm thinking that maybe im4Jesus has made a very good point.

It's part of the spiritual battle. You should have seen this board in the past when moderators gave a much looser reign on people posting. I don't think there was one verse in the Bible where some unlearned person claiming to be learned would argue the very opposite of what it really mean't. It was pretty chaotic and unedifying.

I appreciate the moderators reigning things in so Satan cannot freely post his opposition to every sound doctrine.

Honestly, I can't WAIT for Him to come and just the thought of it makes me feel like doing a back flip
and honestly again, I'm scared out of my mind. I'm scared for what will happen to those that are left behind. I'm scared for my loved ones. I'm still a kid, and even though I know I shouldn't, I want to be able to reach my full potential and live the happy Christian life Jesus told us to live before I go Home. There's so much He put here for us I want to experience before I go. Right now that's just how I feel. I can't shake it, and I know once I'm in Heaven none of this will even exist in my mind, but here I am and there it is :/. As amusing as it may be to Daddio, I have made my plans. It won't turn out how I would like, Of course. That's silly, because every day of my life, every minute, every single second has already been laid out by His hands and nothing I do will change that.
The weird thing is, I'm glad He's got it all figured out so I don't have to and even weirder, if someone put a gun to my head right now and said i had ten seconds till death, then proceeded to count down, I would be less scared than if I was told I had two weeks to live.

I just pray that for the rest of my life (however long it is) I can feel assured that no matter what time I leave, thoughts of "I wish they knew..." or "Why did I do that to her?" will never cross through my mind. No disputes left unreconciled. Just a fulfilled life on my mind and a yearning for when I reopen my eyes and hear "Well done, my son." yay
"The Lord is my strength and my song and he is become my salvation..."

I have never said that about this life. I guess i ever enjoyed this life that much.
Too much pain i suffered, and not enough good times.

Yes, nor do they realize there isn't anything in this life, that is better then in eternity with our Lord.

Well I have nothing in this world that I will miss. I'm ready to fly today.

My parents have unsaved family, which my parents preach to (God is working with them, so far a bunch of my uncles and aunts have come to the Lord).

Sometimes I do feel selfish though for wanting the Rapture so bad when there's other people not saved yet. But then I realize that as long as the seeds have been planted, once it does happen, these people will realize what happened.

Alexsmiles, that is such a wonderful attitude for a young person. Much like my son, he is going about daily life and is excited that Jesus will return too. And when I share my excitement with him, he does not squelch it by saying, Mom that's because your old and you been through a lot... The beauty of the Rapture is not so much what we leave, but what we come into...the actual physical presence of our Holy Father. No successes in life can compare...and we cannot experience that in this world. You have a beautiful attitude in Christ. I pray too that Jesus will stay at the forefront of your mind in in your heart. Thanks you for sharing and God bless you

Wow, I can't even imagine it. Well, I can fully appreciate in my short time here all that they do. And I have seen it in action-- Just as I was reading a post once, about to reply. I typed it out and it went nowhere, the post was gone. Right before my eyes.!!! And I was glad as my reply was defending what we all know is the truth. What a waste of time to keep doing that.

    Thanks Mods!!!!!

Now I am not sure about you, but the thought of my husband being left behind is very horrible for me. YES I do pray the Lord waits for my husband to come to him before the rapture because I love him dearly and pray he would experience the joy we will all feel when we go home. But I just can't fathom thinking he could be left behind. I pray VERY HARD for him. I also have two little ones. Yes they are under the age of accountability, so yes they would go. But have you ever thought how it feels for a mother to a one and two year old and not being able to see them grow up? These ARE HUMAN FEELINGS, and ARE QUITE ALRIGHT TO FEEL! As long as I am on this earth, I will feel these human feelings. THey are not selfish. I am just a worried mother and wife, and a fairly young one at that. So please realize the thoughts that run through ones heads when dealing with these sort of topics. I just want all my family to be saved. I trust the Lord hears these words I speak at this time.

I would ask you to pray for my situation and many of the women's situations on this forum (particularly the women's threads on this very subject).

It is also probably in my best interest to leave the RR-BB if we can't voice our opinions if it is going to "bother" one so much.

Many of us have unsaved loved ones and ALL of us have unsaved people in our lives somewhere... I know that some wish to live a "little bit more" of their lives for one thing or another to happen. Probably most do, but we also are looking forward to Heaven and what awaits us!! Others still have health issues, pain and suffering in their lives and have little to look forward to until the Rapture, still we tread on and witness and await His return!
Myself, I can't wait!! I live my life as usual, I have 2 small children as well and am raising them to love Christ.

Please don't leave, but so realize that this website was created to look forward to the Rapture and that's what most of us are doing!!

Lex09, I will certainly pray for your husband. I know what it is like to love someone who is not saved, a devout atheist at that.

And yes, that was my point-- expressing our feelings of excitement over the Rapture, wanting to go home and waiting for the Lord. But you were expressing how much it bothered you how we feel and that is different. Our feelings are very "real and human" too. Possibly even supernatural as it seems only a handful of believers truly have a depth and understanding of the Rapture...I don't know all the bible and technical stuff, but I sure know I can't wait to see my Jesus!!!! As as long as I am on this earth, that excitement will never leave me either. But it is understandable that your issue and distress is with your unsaved husband--and not a few strangers on a forum who are excited about the Rapture.

Singularly or collectively our excitement and desire is of no threat in hastening the Lords return. He will come when he will come. But trust, if all our prayers could be answered that he come now, that would be great. Meanwhile, we do pray for those unsaved (it is a thread for unsaved loved ones too) and just ask that people not attack us because they or someone in their lives in not saved yet. Most of us who are excited about the Rapture have unsaved loved ones. Who doesn't?

We can pray and witness, live our lives as examples, plant seeds, etc. but only God can prepare the heart. Many RR wives would understand your situation as they know. I hope you stick around and share some of you story with them. There is much wisdom and knowledge on this Board. Something for everyone.

Could be, doesn't matter. Yours would be one of many, if it were true.

Virtually all of us have unsaved loved ones. The desire to be with the Lord stems from many things, but none of them ignore our loved ones. The fact is, I cannot help my loved ones except to pray and to plead. The rest is up to them. But I'll still pray for the Lord to come as soon as it is possible.

Have you posted in the prayer section yet?
Our prayer warriors will lift up your husband in prayer for salvation.
We don't know who God plans to use during the tribulation, I'm not saying your husband is a tribulation saint, but I do want you to know you can rest in full assurance that God is in control of everyone's situation.
We can only find peace when we cast all our burdens and problems upon Jesus, give it all to God and ask for his strength, peace, and assurance

We can also try to answer any prophesy questions you might have, either personally through PM or openly on the board.

God has great things in store for those who are His, way better than anything we can comprehend in this life, I also have 2 young ones under the age, we talk about salvation almost daily and we pray together.

I invite you to join me in prayer here:

    Let's chime in.
I have absolutely no problem with the various threads regarding the rapture, it's nearness and the joy we have in awaiting Jesus Christ coming for us.
However, some of those threads do turn in a different way, when people say the rapture is near and they can't imagine it being off for more than a year or a few months, subtly shifting the thread into prediction mode.
More insidious is when people have rapture dreams or feelings and based on that claim that it's within a year or a few months and really go for the prediction mode.

I can live with that personally, but it's against board rules and can confuse and turn off young christians, christians who believe in the rapture differently or don't believe in it and the nonchristians.
In fact, the last behaviour is prophesying about the timing of the rapture and we better be 100% correct about that or stop trying to timeframe the rapture.
And if we have a free pass to our failed prophecy, shouldn't we give it to anyone whose prophecy failed, even false teachers?
    I think not.

Furthermore, we cannot even know the timing of the rapture, so why even try to timeframe it?

Mark 13:32 But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

This also teaches us the imminency of the rapture, we do NOT know when the rapture is, so it can happen ANYTIME.
Thus i am joyful, because the coming of Jesus for His church is at hand and we can go anytime.
It also tells me that we could still easily wait a couple of years until He comes for us.
I'm not saying that we WILL have to wait that much, but that it is possible for us to wait that long, only God knows.
Let's be joyful while waiting for the rapture and working.

I, for one, have no problems with my brothers and sisters in Christ reminding us of the Great Commission. We, as Christians, are to exhort and encourage one another. They are part of the same deal. So, longing to see Jesus and discussing your feelings about it are one side of the coin, while remembering that we are still on this earth to fulfill a mission is the other side. Since I long to hear Him say to me "Well done, good and faithful servant" when I do see Him, I take no exception to the reminders.

Rev. 22:20 (NASV) "He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming quickly.' Amen. Come Lord Jesus"

...and I do *so* long to see Him...
