    Default single

    Dear fellow brothers,

I'm 38 years old and still single. Here lately I'm been under attack by the enemy with thoughts of marriage but in a lustful way. I'm tired and lonely. Been praying for the Lord to guide and direct my path for a wife. Please pray with me that the Lord's will be done and that when I find out what his will is that I can place my will up with God's perfect and wonderful will. Thank you!

JCalvert. I didn't marry until I was 34. Had always wanted to have a large family. Before my marriage I had many lonely moments. Do be careful, a bad marriage can be a terrible thing.

I suggest you seriously involve yourself in some local Christian ministries... like Rescue Missions, bible studies, food pantries. Give your desires to the Lord and take those energies you would give to your family and serve Him with them. You might just find your future spouse while working in the ministries.

I'm in your same boat. I stopped worrying about it a long time ago. There's no point in worrying about what you have no control over.

Unfortunately women today are so shallow, even the so called Christian ones. So I don't even bother to give it any thought. Still when the loneliness hits it's not fun. Believe it or not, for me, music helps to make me forget I'm lonely. Pick whatever makes you feel like you are in Heaven and listen away.

    Be yourself.
People say this as something that is said without even understanding what it means or how it helps. I don't mean to sound condescending, because I know everyone does it not just you, but to me it is starting to get annoying in a way.

Put your best foot forward in the begining, yes, BUT don't pretend to like things you don't like to impress anybody. If you are a doofus be proud!

    Is that better?
