when I was around 6 or 7 all I wanted for Christmas was a Dump Truck & a bulldozer. Come Christmas morning when I open my gifts there was a large metal Tonka dump truck and Tonka Road Grater. I picked up the Grater and handed it to my Dad and said, 'Daddy you can play with this one. I wanted a bulldozer.' I kept that Tonka Truck most of my life and it wasn't till I was in High School.

On top of that, my Papaw was a West Virginia dump truck driver for the coal mines, my Dad also drove dump truck for a few years along with him. Eventually I thought that I would also be a dump truck driver once I got out of school, but that never came about. Papaw retired long before that, sold the Lambert business and Dad had gotten out of it by the time I was 10 years old.

I have fond memories of those days, and it was just the perfect name for me here. Everybody wants to be a Pick-Up Truck guy, me I'll take my Tonka Truck and 100, 000 miles on my knees thank you please! LOL

First initial, last name, month and date of birth. I figured I could remember that for the next few years anyhow! I'm definitely on the other side of the mountain on the downward hill, putting on the brakes with a screech which really doesn't slow down the clock much at all.... ageing quickly, praying for ageing gracefully any minute now (or the rapture, my preference of course.)

After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."

    Hi everyone, I'm new
Mine was a split-second, off-the-top-of-my-head decision... My signature pretty much explains it - I love math and when I was in grade school I read about the golden ratio and thought how amazing it is that God used such mathematical order in His lovely creation.
    Evolution can't explain everything...

    Default member name

When I registered for this site I had no clue about selecting a member name so I used my first initial + middle name+first part of my last name; came out ldonjohn which could be pronounced eldonjohn. Doesn't look or sound spiritual or biblical but it is what it is and I'm stuck with it.

For my nickname,it came about being an admire of mongooses. They have good communities and can certainly fight snakes well (which brings about a type of spiritual side to this since snakes are regarded by many cultures to be evil or an omen of it).True story............

When we first got a computer and internet I was trying to come up with a name that would be easy to remember. Every one that I tried was already taken and I would have had to put numbers behind it. I was getting very frustrated when I looked at the coffee mug I was using. It was from our trip to Yellowstone and had dancing moose's (meese?) on it with the word MOOSEJIVE too. I love the animal (very stately, majestic) and so I typed it in. It was accepted, with NO numbers needed!! I've used it for many years now as my go to name for about everything. All I see are the happy, dancing moose on the cup and a name that was easy to remember.
This world is not my home. I'm just passing through. If heaven's not my home, O Lord, what would I do? The angels beckon me from heaven's open door, and I can't feel at home in this world anymore."
Complete justice for us will come only "when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels" (v. 7).

I can relate. A while back I was trying to create an email address or something and kept getting the message that whatever I chose wasn't "available." IIRC, out of frustration I finally typed in okaywhatISavailable and for some strange reason, nobody had taken that name.....

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Mine was tough.

I really had to exercise my canny creative abilities to invent my member name.

First, I carefully and thoughtfully chose my first name 'Steve'

Then, after what felt like an eternity of deep contemplative I eyed the $ sign.

Finally, leveraging my strong skills in synthesis and astuteness, I combined the '$' with 'teve' to form $teve!

Thus happy with the outcome of my invention, is the history of how I chose my member name.

I spent many years working as a church secretary and with the children. Someone began calling me Mother Ann, because she said I was like the mother of the church. It just kind of stuck.
