I just want to be free from my sinful flesh and to know that I will never be able to sin again!

I sure hope my puppy will be there! And wouldn't it be nice to have taste buds and eat for pleasure?? Chocolate without the penalty of calories that it brings! Can't wait!

OH YES!!!!! ALL CALORIES WILL BE TAKEN OUT OF THE WONDERFUL FOOD!!! I hope we can eat and eat sitting by the riverside and never gain a pound. Maybe there won't be pounds in heaven!!!

I too hope my doggy will be going in the rapture too! I have been praying that God would take him too! Because all my family is going up. There won't be anyone to take care of him or feed him! He's just like a baby...spoiled rotten!!!!

Won't that be a joyous day! This flesh is killing me.

I love to Deer Hunt. I hope there will be some type of hunting in heaven, without the killing of course. Maybe there will be paint ball hunting or something like that...lol. I just love the outdoors and the thrill of the challenge of bagging a deer. Thats my hearts desire so maybe it could be arranged.

me...I want to spend eternity learning all of the crafty things I haven't had time to learn here...weaving, more spinning, painting, etc.... to spend my time playing with colored threads making landscapes in woven cloth...*wistful sigh*

I do hope that it isn't all music praise, because quite honestly, I don't like singing and don't have the gift of music...no one wants to hear me singing! *lol*

I think the thing I look forward too most, other than finding out all of the things I always wondered, is NO MORE WORRY!! No matter how much I lay at the Lord's feet, new worries always crop up...I can't seem to outrun the silly things!

Maybe, you can use water balloons rather than guns?

My husband is a deer hunter too! And, son.

Won't there be sacrificing in the milliniem on earth? That's killing an animal. Don't you think we will eat meat in heaven?? I don't know. But, someone needs to be assigned to bring in the animals for meat if they do.

Maybe God's job for you all will be the 'HEAVENLY HUNTERS'!!!!

Well, though I understand that-- during the millenium ---there will be animal sacrifices...
('NOT my favorite thought about the millenium, BTW!)

I think that heaven-- in the New Jerusalem, on the New Earth-- will be like the Garden of Eden. Until Adam sinned, no animal died!

If you who love your steaks want meat, I really believe our Lord has the ability to perfectly--and deliciously--re-create meat for you---without the death of our "brothers" and friends, the animals!

CID03 and Traveling Through----I love the paintball and water gun ideas!
HEY, It might even be a little game to play with our new friends, the deer, cow, turkey, chicken and others!

I love my hamburgers and pepperoni pizza (and other meaty goodies), and I know that God has the ability to create delicious, mouth-watering meats of all kinds for us. No animal will have to be killed to create it. I think He will, too.

I'm with Trance on this one. A priest once told me that heaven would be an eternal Eastern Orthodox Mass. Maybe for him, I don't particular see that as heaven.
I really do think that whatever people expect it to be, maybe that's exactly what it is for them. Within reason of course, meaning don't expect pole dancers and such!

Believe me, when you see Jesus nothing.........nothing else will matter. I can't imagine being able to or wanting to take my eyes off of Him.

I agree with you guys. I thought of that too. Kinda like a meat substitute?

Well, at first it will probably be like that.. ...but i don't think for all eternity we're going to do just that.
He may insist we keep busy or something. I am sure there will be an endless supply of things that will keep us busy, jobs to do, places to go, things to learn, places to explore, people to meet...etc..etc.. And if we want, Jesus can come along too.

Oh I'm sure we will probably have a service, but He is the object of my desiring.

Yes!! Oh it will be a service alright.
And not like an ordinary service with a Pastor in an ordinary building on an ordinary street. Oh no. We will literally be in the presence of our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!! ..still so hard for me to fathom it will REALLY happen.

It will be the most ultimate church service imaginable.
Imagine what the praising and singing will be like. <--------well hopefully better then that.

I had heard it said that my uncle had seen heaven while having open heart surgery.
One day I had a chance to visit with him while he was at my folks house. I asked him if it was true that he had indeed seen heaven. He became very quiet, and finally said yes, it's true. So I asked what did it look like? Again, he became very very quiet and tears welled up in his eyes. Then he said, it's the most beautiful place you can imagine.
There are no words in our language to describe it, and that's all I'm going to say. Needles to say I did not press further as I could tell it was very emotional for him to try to discuss. Quite likely, he much preferred to be there rather than here.

I love to read NDEs, because they give us such hope!

Be careful, of course, to skip any of those "new-agey" ones! I have a little red flag of discernment--- that waves in warning-- on those!
If what the person has told does not jibe with the Word, I have no use for it!

All I know is that it will unbelievable. Like many have said, eye has not seen, nor has the mind conceived of what God has in store for us....our puny brains just can't comprehend it. I once heard it explained like this...."take your MOST exciting, happiest, wonderful, thrilling moment here on earth and magnify it a million times and you STILL won't touch what Heaven will be like". WOW...for me that's mind blowing. Mostly, for me again, Jesus will be there and we won't have to fight sin in these earthly bodies any longer. Glory to God!

Will we remember everything that happened to us on earth? Will we remember our family and friends?

I think so. When the scripture says that "the former things will not be remembered or come to mind", I don't think it is saying that we will lose our memories. Rather, I think that it means that we will be so caught up in things that are new and fresh and exciting and wonderful that the old memories just can't compare any more.
