It could mean that, but keeping in context, i thought it was more referring to the pain and sadness of this lifetime, because it says:

Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Yay!

I agree. I don't think we can comprehend what Heaven will be like. We only have what we know on this earth to compare it to. I think we will be sooo caught up in living our new life in our new body...that we won't have time to think or wonder about past things.

But, I sure lookin' forward to that NEW BODY though!!!! NO MORE PAIN!!!!

Thumbs up Re: our relationships with our families and other loved ones....

Forgive the repeat, guys , but there still might be one or two who haven't yet been on Randy Alcorn's website,

www.epm.org

PROMISE: It'll "bless those (proverbial ) socks off of you"!

Randy wrote the best-selling book, Heaven---(not-to-be-missed, I think! )

Re: the question about remembering our loved ones, here's one article from his site, just to reassure us all!

The sound of the surf, playing in the water, laying out in the warm sun-that would be heaven to me. But what will the REAL heaven be like. I know it will be no other experience to be in the presence of the Lord-But I just can't get past the feeling that it will be boring. Don't misunderstand, it's better than the alternative. Guess I'm just thinking as an immature Christian.

Read Randy Alcorn's book "Heaven" You'll get past that feeling real quick.
In Light Of Eternity (Perspectives on Heaven) is a much lighter read but just as good!!!

I know it's going to be beautiful beyond our wildest, most bizarre dreams.

I can't wait to soar in the air like Superman, and to speak face to face with Jesus. I can't wait to see what a cherubim and a seraphim look like, or to walk the streets of gold. I am simply ecstatic about Heaven.

Imagine talking with Jesus in the bowels of our mansions, seeing those ageless eyes piercing you with his smile, revealing the answers to every question you've ever had. You then open your giant bay window and gaze down upon the magnificence of Heaven. You watch breathless as Abraham smiles at you as he talks with Isaac. An angel swoops by praising God. You walk onto your pristine, white marble balcony and decide to enjoy flight. Without so much as a runnign start, you jump over the rails. Gravity is meaningless as you rocket skward, twirling like a sparrow. The shekinah glory of God bathes you in rays of surreal bliss as the wind whips your hair.

It gives me chills of joy just imagining it!!! I cannot wait!!!

I have a German Shepherd, too! That's her w/ her feet in a bucket of water.

When I think of Heaven I think of the Glory of God and how bright He must be. I think of extremely vivid colors like cartoon colors or better. I think of huge fields of bright grass and flowers and animals of all sorts playing with the people and each other and everyone laughing and smiling with joy because they are finally safe with the Lord. They are free from satan and his deceit and have no more worries and no toil anymore. The animals are free as well. There is so much freedom in Jesus! People just do not realize. Anyway, that is what is in my minds eye when I think of Heaven.

Cry I've been praying

You might think that I'm silly, but I've been for a long while asking God to PLEASE let my doggy go in the RAPTURE too! There will be no one to take care of him or feed him if he's left behind.

God will take care of him somehow even if he doesn't go with you, at least, I hope so.

We won't have any worries in heaven, all our tears will be wiped away, so I have to believe that our pets, if not coming with us, will at least be looked after on earth by their Creator. Because I'd be frantic if I thought for one moment that my kitteh and dogs would be left in the cold!

A friend has the "Heaven" book by Randy Alcorn. She told me today that the people we know here on earth...we will know better in heaven. And, the people we are family with or husband/wife...will be a close friend in heaven.

Also, she said for someone that has never married and meant that special someone here during their life...they could meet them in heaven and have a close friendship.

How Randy, the author of Heaven, knows this or where he's getting it from I have no idea. But, it's neat to know you don't start over again meeting people when we're raptured. We will already have a friend base.

Also, the books says God is preparing us for our job in heaven - now while we are here on earth. So, what is your job and how do you think it would be used in heaven.? I can't work. I suffer with terrible pain. And, there won't be any suffering in heaven for me to help. What do you think my job would be? I have no idea. I have been suffering for 20 1/2 yrs!! Countless surgeries. Mayb teaching endurance or patience?

I just can't hardly wait!!! I'm ready to lift off!!!!! how about you?? Ready to go? What do you wish is in heaven?

I dont need a house or roof over my head.

Whoa! You have a dog named Elmo, too? So do I! What breed is your dog? Mine is a Chihuahua.
