This is so true. My pastor said a few months ago, "If there were a bus to Heaven leaving right now, I wouldn't want to get on it quite yet...I still have a lot of work to do."

While I admire his work ethic...I think I'd be camping out for weeks waiting for the bus to come just so I could be the first person on!!!!

Today would not be soon enough! Nothing in this fallen world can compare with what eternity with our Lord and Savior will be like. I ache for the unsaved--especially those in family--but I have the confidance that if the Rapture happens today, they will know and understand what has taken place and will then turn to Christ as Tribulation Saints. They don't believe my witness, but they would believe the Rapture!

Every time this song comes on I comment on it to my dh (or the radio). I say something like, uh, Kenny, right now isn't soon enough!
Dh tells me, "not everyone is like you though, you're missing the point of the song..." I'm not missing the point. I just want to go home!

My dh is saved, he just doesn't long for His appearing in the same way I do.

I have used this song as an opportunity to witness because one of favorite sayings is the day I die will be the greatest day of my life

Just last night after baseball practice, my 11yr old son and I were driving home when someone almost pulled out in front of us. It could have been a bad accident. After I blew my horn and mumbled to myself about how ignorant some people could be, my 11yr old said "Oh well....we would have just gotten to Heaven a little sooner. You know how much I like baseball, Dad, but I am ready to go now." I just looked at him and smiled and said "You're absolutely right son....and we are one day closer." That's something we say around the house frequently. "We're one day closer to Heaven". It's true, and today would be fine with me.

There ain't nothing coming to me on this planet. My treasures are up there right now waiting for me. I have no desire whatsoever to be here. By the grace of Jesus Christ, my wife and family are saved. It's all up from here. Everything is about to get alot worse on this planet. Can a carpenter build properly during an earthquake? Can a photographer work blind? That's what it's going to be like to be an advocate of Christ in this world very soon. It's high time the Church were Raptured off this planet, and it's coming soon.

I wish my mom was more open like you, and I wish that we could talk about heaven "around the house" like you do with your son. but she doesnt really want to, because she tends to get kinda "weirded" out. sigh...

WOW! What is your secret? I have a 5 year old daughter and a 15month old son and how do you get them sincerely excited about heaven like that. To the point they would leave everything. I know its the Holy Spirit, but WOW!

Thank you for your compliment Surafel. I know EXACTLY what you mean. My wife used to get "annoyed" at me for constantly singing church hymns and talking about Heaven and getting to see Jesus, etc. I just kept on praying for her and tried to be happy and upbeat and loving towards her and eventually she started asking me more and more questions. I believe with all my heart she has been saved for some time now, but was reluctant to want to talk too much about certain things. Hang in there, and always remember that Heaven is a REAL PLACE, just waiting on those who love the Lord. 1 Corinthians 2:9

I have been praying a lot lately for Him to come and get us. I hate the thought of my grandchildren being exposed to all this evil.

I used to hope he wouldn't come back yet when I was playing World of Warcraft every day. Since I've realized that I was putting my gaming before God in my list of priorities and gave online gaming up, there's nothing that hinders me from wanting him to come back now.

I think that wanting Jesus to delay his return for any reason other than to have more time for the unsaved to come to him, reflects upon a person's true priorities in life. Unless you're looking for his return, I'd venture to say God isn't given the right priority.

Rlight, all the credit goes to God's Holy Spirit. I have a 16yr old son who was saved @ 11, and an 11yr old who was saved @ 7. Both enjoy their lives completely and have loads of fun with their friends. From the time that I witnessed to them and they accepted Jesus (one of the BEST times of my life and I remember it SO well) I have never shut up about it. They BOTH are so convinced and caught-up in whats to come that it amazes me. I know I wasn't that way. They are both good boys and they do their fair share of talking about their Lord to their friends. We play traveling baseball and my son always picks out a different scripture to put on his batting helmet and catcher's helmet each year. He memorizes them and is quick to tell someone what the scripture says and means. Some of his favs are Philippians 4:13, 2 Samuel 22:33, Joshua 1:9, John 14:1-3, Romans 8:31. The earlier children learn and are taught, the more secure in their faith they will be as the more trying years come. They will be rooted in their faith and THAT is REALITY to them, not just a fantasy.

I'm looking forward to going home myself. My biggest concern is for people in my family and close friends. They know the truth right now and think they will always have another chance during the Tribulation. IIIIII'mmmm not so sure!! 2 Thessalonians 2:11
And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,

I don't have the confidence that they will be Tribulation saints. If they don't desire the gift of salvation now, they most likely will not desire it then, especially if it costs them their head!

Any others with thoughts about this??

There is one bit of Truth in that song - The part that says "I Ain't Ready" --so many people who call themselves 'christian' don't want to go to Heaven Now- because they are Not ready! Well the first step in Getting Ready is to admit -- I'm Not Ready-----I'm sure glad -- I'mready
